Company History
 
Solitech's roots trace back to the stories of family experiences on the early diamond fields of South Africa, a history that fostered our interest in mining and minerals. Early career choices resulted in analytical work in simulation, finite element analysis and advanced control systems. In the end our interest in mining proved the strongest and it became our focus over many exciting years, during which we learnt the art of practical consultation and advisory services alongside business leaders, geologists, metallurgists and academics. 
 
Today, Solitech draws on all these experiences with specific attention paid to mining and the belief in rational decision making. Furthermore, we understand the importance of taking into account that available information is often not adequate. We believe in "getting the i(nformation) out of 'Mine' timely and consistently" to empower all levels of decision-makers in bringing about change; to make adjustment decisions that will optimise the operation.
